Can you believe it’s already the end of October!? Having a hard time believing that myself. It seems that once Halloween passes the rest of the year just flies by. This week on Top Ten Tuesday is Halloween freebie!
Now, if you know me you know that I don’t necessarily love watching scary things. It’s not even that I scare that easily, it’s just that I don’t like to put myself in the situation to do that.So a lot of the movies that I watch aren’t the scariest, but they do have a creepy factor. So…here are my favorite things to watch around Halloween (trailers or musical numbers included):
The Nightmare Before Christmas
I can watch this one all the way through Christmas!
Warm Bodies
Zombie comedy, DUH!
Corpse Bride
Tim Burton does it again!
Coraline
The book and the movie! Both pretty different but awesome.
Sleepy Hollow
Can you do Halloween without Ichabod Crane?
Sweeney Todd
The demon barber of Fleet Street.
Harry Potter
uhm, when am I not in the mood to watch these movies?
Hocus Pocus
Amuck! Amuck, Amuck, Amuck!
Young Frankenstein
It’s pronounced ‘Fronkensteen’
The Walking Dead
CAAAOOORL!
What movies, music, shows, or books get you in the Halloween spirit?
Oh I love Hocus Pocus (And of course Harry Potter)

Both some very classic movies. Though I feel like I could work Harry Potter into almost any list.

So, everything on this list is fine by me….except for The Walking Dead – that is just way too creepy for me!! I’m a major league wuss when it comes to anything scary!!

Ha that’s so funny because I can’t really do much more creepy than The Walking Dead. And that show has become more drama than creepiness. But it’s so funny how different we all can be.

Hocus Pocus is classic! I love that movie. My friends actually dressed up as the three witches for a Halloween party this year. It was so cool!

Harry Potter is very much a fall/winter watch for me (although obviously its good to watch year round). Halloween Town from the Disney channel is one of my favorites to watch this time of year. Great list!

Ah yes, good old Halloween Town. I did enjoy that movie, though not my all time favorite. Still good though. And HP is good any time, but I do especially love it this time of year.

Ha I wouldn’t say they are scary, just slightly creepy. But I do love all things Charlie Brown so I think you have a perfectly reasonable substitution

I LOVE Young Frankenstein! It’s one of the first Mel Brooks movies I’ve ever seen. Zombieland and Sean of the Dead are my other favorite Halloween movies. I guess I’m just a sucker for “scary” comedies! ^.^

Oh also good movie choices. “Scary” comedy is honestly some of my favorite comedy. I prefer it over horror.
