Hey everyone, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
We are happy to be doing another Top Ten Tuesday this week and our theme of course is Halloween! While there is a ton of different ideas we could do for this freebie we decided to go with something simple…Characters we would dress up as for Halloween! Now as a kid I know I dressed up as so many different characters, like the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz to Darth Maul from Star Wars. It is always fun to pretend and dress up as a different character from a different world.
Arika:
- Alosa from Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller
- Hermione Granger from Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling
- Ryiah from The Black Mage Series by Rachel E. Carter
- The White Witch from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis
- Katniss from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Emily:
- Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas (THIS IS THE DREAM PEOPLE! MY EMO KID DREAM)
- Inej from Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (I legit love her)
- Scarlet from The Scarlet series by AC Gaughen (DUH!)
- Daisy from The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald (FLAPPER DRESS PLEASE!)
- Miss Viola Swamp from Miss Nelson is Missing by James Marshall (because the name is PERFECT)
Question: What are some of your favorite costumes to wear?
These are great. I always wanted to dress up as Daisy. I love the 1920s and flapper dresses! So fun!

I dressed as a flapper for a library program once and now I am DYING to do it again. It was so much fun!

It’s be so fun to be a character from The Hunger Games after seeing the movies. Or maybe one from Six of Crows. That could be cool, too!

I don’t usually dress up for Halloween, but these all sound like really fun costumes! I’d love to see pictures if you do any of them. 🙂

Oh how I wish I did one of them. But alas, no time…And though my job said I could be in costume I know that it can get messy there so I opted out of it. Maybe next year…

Great list! It has been a lot of years since I wore a costume, but any of these would be fun.

Great picks, you two! I am always keen on dressing up as a witch or some other magical being. My favourite costumes as a kid were the Pink Power Ranger and Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. Ohhh, and Alice from–duh–Alice in Wonderland.

This was a really cool take on this week’s theme! Ooh, I would totally dress up as Katniss. I usually go with something LOTR or fantasy-esque 🙂
