It’s the last Tuesday of August and we have a wonderful Top Ten Tuesday for everyone. And as always it’s hosted by those wonderful people over at The Broke and the Bookish. This week is all about those hidden gems. Those books where you love but it seems like nobody has heard of, so of course you tell everyone and everybody about it when they are looking for a good book to read. We have decided to stick with the young adult genre, as that is the genre we have read the most books from.
Scarlet Trilogy by A.C. Gaughen | The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Bedor | Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes | The Black Mage Series by Rachel E. Carter | My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton and Jodi Meadows | Madion War Trilogy by S. Usher Evans | The Boy in the Black Suit by Jason Reynolds | No Good Deed by Kara Connolly | Violet Grenade by Victoria Scott | Follow Me Back by AV Geiger
Question: What are some of your favorite books that you consider hidden gems?
It’s been ages since I read The Looking Glass Wars- actually I don’t think I ever got round to reading the final book in the series!
I remember loving it though ❤ Think I need to reread it again.

Scarlet, The Violet Grenade and No Good Deed are all books I wanted, and I haven’t read any of them yet! Yikes.

Scarlet is a favorite on the blog for sure! I can’t gush about it enough. Loved the other two books as well. Hope you get your hands on them soon!

I have Scarlet on my shelf, I can’t wait to read it, I’ve never read a Robin Hood retelling before!

Robin Hood retellings are so fun because there are so many questions around the legend for authors to play with. I absolutely loved this take on the story! Hope you get to read it soon.

I haven’t read any of these, though My Lady Jane and No Good Deed are on my list. As for my hidden gems…*shifty eyes* I may or may not be writing that blog post (super late) right now. ^^;

And I believe we will be checking that post later (after that darn to do list gets finished). No Good Deed was super fun and My Lady Jane had me laughing til I was crying. So good.

I haven’t read any of these, but I’ve been hearing a lot about MY LADY JANE lately as all my favorite Utah book bloggers are reading it for Utah Book Week. It sounds fun.
Happy TTT!

I’ve heard nothing but good things about My Lady Jane, it keeps being mentioned as a favorite read. I already have it on my Kindle, grabbed a copy when it was on promo. Just need to find time to read it!

I grabbed it too when it was on sale for the kindle, so glad I did! Such a funny read 🙂

I’ve wanted to read Falling Kingdoms ever since it released. Is that series still ongoing? I’ve heard some good things about Scarlet but haven’t read that one. Great list; I need to definitely put some of these — especially My Lady Jane — on my TBR. Happy reading!

Yes Falling Kingdoms has one or two books left to be released I believe (don’t quote me on it though). It is a really good audiobook too, that is how I got into it! Kind of a young adult Game of Thrones it seems to me.
Scarlet and My Lady Jane are definite you need to read type of books!
