Top Ten Tuesday: Cover Love

toptentuesday
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

We are always told to not judge a book by it’s cover. Think about it…some of the books that have covers that we aren’t the biggest fans of turn out to be some of the best books that we have read. But…let’s be real…we totally judge books by their covers. That doesn’t mean that we skip out on books with not so pretty covers, but the ones with those gorgeous covers are books that we are drawn to almost instantly.

This week on Top Ten Tuesday we are all about the book covers. Here at Midwestern Book Nerd we are going to show you some of our FAVORITE covers. This doesn’t mean that we find any books lesser because of the covers, but these ones just stick out as some of our favorites.

You guys picked some good ones! I’m also partial to some of the pretty illustrations you get on MG covers. And yes, I totally judge books by their covers. With a few rare exceptions, I get a good sense of whether I want to read a book based on the cover and synopsis alone.

Same here! I see an awesome cover and I will immediately pick it up and see what the book is about. Pretty much make the decision right there if I want to read it or if I will pass on it.

I have to get the second Gold Seer book…my first one I borrowed to my grandmother and it was a great book! But those covers are awesome!
