This week on Top Ten Tuesday we are talking about all things audio. This could range anywhere from audiobooks to music to podcasts, as long as it fits in the audio category. This stumped me, because music would be super hard for me to narrow down but I also don’t audiobook as much as I would like. So, despite my lack of audiobook-ing, I thought that I would tell you some of the best audiobooks that I have ever listened to. These audiobooks MADE these books for me, and I honestly don’t know if I would love the books as much had I not listened to them. The audiobooks that I chose had amazing narration that really helped me paint an amazing picture. Some had me laughing while others had me in tears. The readers were so powerful and I was so glad to have listened to them. So…here are my favorite audiobooks, in no particular order.
Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitgerald by Therese Anne Fowler ; If I Stay/Where She Went by Gayle Forman ; Things We Know by Heart by Jessi Kirby ; Divergent Series by Veronica Roth ; Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by JK Rowling ; The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor ; Fairest by Marissa Meyer
What are some of your favorite audiobooks?
I saw Z so many times in bookstores, but never got around to buying it. Maybe I should give the audio book a try. My favorite audio books are usually on the shorter side: poetry, drama and short stories, though I really liked Slouching Towards Bethlehem by Joan Didion and narrated by Diane Keaton.

Oh Z was a fantastic audio book. She did an amazing job. My husband doesn’t typically like books like that but he was more than happy to listen with me.
I will have to check that one out!

I haven’t listened to any of these as audiobooks, except Harry Potter (my favorite). But I recently read Things We Know by Heart and thought it was very cute.

It really was wasn’t it? I wasn’t too sure on it, but the library had it and I needed something to listen to. Adored it!

I’ve had The Looking Glass Wars on my TBR list for ages, but I had thought of looking for it as an audio. I’ll have to see if I can get myself a copy.

Have you listened to the rest of The Lunar Chronicles? Rebecca Soler is up there with Jim Dale in my opinion with her ability to differentiate voices.

I haven’t, but I really should. The rest of them I read, but a reread via audio would be really fun.

The Harry Potter books are among those I never read anymore, since listening is so much better.

I was a hot mess listening to it. I felt like the emotions of the book were fully conveyed and oh my gosh I was hooked and never wanted to leave my car. So good!

I felt the same way when reading it! Without the car part. 😉

All these audiobook posts are seriously convincing me I need to keep trying with them haha. Either way, it’s time for me to re-try listening to HP, because I don’t have the time to just re-read them anymore. Great list!

Thanks! Audiobooks can be so tricky. The reader makes or breaks it, and I am always scared that I hate a book because of the audio. But these ones are the ones that have really worked for me. Definitely start with a HP reread! I think rereads are the easiest way to dive in
